Fall in full force…

The weather is truly amazing right now.  Day time temps are consistently reaching the mid to upper 60’s and the nights are just as mild, barely dropping below 50.  With the combination of marathon training and dog walking this weather has been a dream come true.  I just hope it holds on one more week for the Miles Standish Marathon November 15th.  Here are some shots from the week.   Continue reading Fall in full force…

Good times in Palermo…

If you exit off of 95 right past Maine’s mighty capital of Augusta on to a little highway we call 3, it will run you into the rolling hills of Palermo.  Maine.  In stark contrast to the bustling metropolis of the fabled Palermo in the old world, this one here in Maine is home to about 15o0 or so. And quite quaint.  The city center’ish is denoted with a United States Post Office, a flower shop, and a meager statue of what most likely denotes a storied founder. First GIF try

Though the park was as peaceful as it’s ever been, the sea was particularly angry this morning.  Hurricane Gustav is certainly reeking havoc out there in the Atlantic. I wanted to capture the waves crushing the rocks at Fort Williams and make an animated GIF.  This did not seem like a hard task as I have watched a number of internet tutorials.  However, technology has a fun little way of making a 10 minute task turn into 2 hours.  And here I am with a perfectly save animation that doesn’t work.  Enjoy. 5 days and I’m still bitter

It’s like that break up.  The really really bad one.  You’d done everything right and there was no way you ever expected it.  You know… the one you get through text message.  Brutal. Dude didn’t even come out with the team!!!  Even worse, midway through the National Anthem, my hopes rose once again due to a large man matching the Lebron description standing in the wings.  Half way unrecognizable due to the dramatic lighting, he rocked back and forth anticipating the inevitable boos.
